I don't know about you but I like nothing better than trying a new vegan cake or biscuit recipe. And I like them even better when they've been recommended.
In fact I actually find they turn out better than the non vegan ones I used to make! I put this down to the skill and knowledge of the amazing vegan chefs and bloggers out there who are working hard to make sure that being vegan doesn't mean going without the sweet things in life. Thank you! Here are are a few of the recipes that I've tried or are on the list to try. Death by chocolate cake by Veggie Soup for the Soul This cake made for a deliciously moist chocolaty cake that my non vegan colleagues gave their ultimate seal of approval. I adapted it slightly by using the Sun Pat chocolate/peanut butter spread instead of jam. http://veggiesoup4thesoul.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/halloween-recipe-death-by-chocolate.html Chocolate and coffee cake by Hell Yeah it's Vegan This cake was scrummy and combines two of my favourite flavours. Be warned though that this recipe makes a lot of cake! I had enough for a 7in cake and 12 cupcakes. http://hellyeahitsvegan.com/chocolate-cake-coffee-buttercream/ Christmas cake shared by @grayval on twitter This isn't one I've tried yet, but the comments from other users speak for how great it's bound to taste! http://www.suma.coop/2010/10/29/vegan-christmas-cake-recipe/ Hot Toddy Layer cake by Maple Spice This cake looks delicious, although I am tempted to add a bit of coffee to it to make it into more of an Irish coffee cake. http://www.maplespice.com/2013/05/hot-toddy-layer-cake.html Have you got an amazing vegan cake that should be on this list - let me know and I'll add it!
